AD Architects undertook the Cardiothoracic Diagnostic Centre from SOC to completion. The unit was delivered in 18 months from SOC to the first patient, including obtaining planning permission in a sensitive location. The centre offers a mixed modality rapid access diagnostic service: Digital Radiology, state-of-the-art dual-source 64-slice Computerised Tomography (CT) unit and a 1.5T cardiac optimised Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanner. The unit also provides respiratory physiology diagnostic facilities including a dedicated six-minute-walk area. Further accommodation is provided at first floor for support, reporting and MDT meetings.
