TomoTherapy at Addenbrooke’s Hospital

AD Architects recently handed over the the enabling works project for the installation of the first Accuray Radixact® TomoTherapy machine in the UK.  The £2m system will treat patients with breast, prostate and neck cancers at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.

The Radixact® machine was installed in an existing LINAC bunker in the hospital’s radiotherapy department.  Prime Minister Theresa May formally opened the facility.

AD Develop acted as the developer on this turnkey project, which was delivered on schedule and within budget.

A second Radixact machine will be installed by the end of 2018.
