Radixact TomoTherapy at Addenbrooke’s Hospital

AD Architects recently handed over the second enabling works project for the installation of the first Accuray Radixact® TomoTherapy machines in the UK.  The £1.9m systems will treat patients with  prostate, breast, head and neck cancers at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.

The Radixact® machines were installed in existing linear accelerator bunkers in the hospital’s radiotherapy department.

AD Develop acted as the developer on these turnkey projects, which were delivered on schedule and within budget.  The total build cost of the two projects, excluding equipment, was approximately £1.4m.
