Harlow College Building C shortlisted for Architectural Design Award

We were pleased to hear that one of our buildings for Harlow College (Building C) has been recognised by being shortlisted for the inaugural Harlow Architectural Design Awards, from 150 nominations spanning the 70 years of the new town era.

The Awards have been launched to recognise the very best in Harlow’s existing architecture, as well as encouraging excellence in the design of Harlow’s development over the coming years.

The jury’s comments about the building, which houses the College’s science, hairdressing and beauty therapy departments were very positive: “This tasteful building is set back and on a smaller scale than its neighbours which is part of its charm. It uses interesting detailing, brickwork, glass and space to create a ‘little gem’ within the more corporate feel of the campus overall”.
