CyberKnife opens at Mount Vernon Hospital
This month marks the opening of the first CyberKnife robotic radiotherapy suite in the NHS. The facility designed by AD Architects involved adapting a former linear accelerator bunker and includes the treatment room, a control room and ancillary accommodation.

The CyberKnife offers a new way to treat some patients who may have been told their cancer is inoperable. It has the ability to deliver a high dose of radiotherapy treatment, whilst significantly reducing the dose to the surrounding normal tissues.
