Community
AD joined the RIBA's Community Architecture Group when this was formed in the 1980s when the phrase was first coined. We found ourselves working successfully with residents groups and other community members, long before "planning for real" became the fashion.
Our community based projects encompass housing, sports and leisure and community buildings themselves and have ranged from small individual buildings to major regeneration projects.
The common theme though, is a desire to work with and to meet the needs of the end-users of the buildings we design.
